Checklist for New Crypto Casinos

By Andreas Ericsson, founder of WagerX

I know that many of you — and myself included — love the feeling of entering a new crypto casino. We often end up there because we searched for it, or we found it in our social media feed or on an affiliate site. We get drawn in because of a modern design, an attractive bonus, or a token issued by the casino itself.

Since I started my crypto gambling journey back in 2018, I have probably visited at least 3,000 crypto casinos, and from all those years I have learned one important thing — and that's what this article is about.

The Biggest Traps Are in New Crypto Casinos — and You Must Read This

Some new crypto casinos do not have good intentions. They are literally created to scam you, and it's hard to detect them. When our team spots one, we send it to our holding tank or burn pile for everyone to see. But the most important thing is that you are aware of their existence so you can avoid them.

There are some obvious things you can check from the start. Does the casino have an active social media account with real interaction? Even if it's new, it should have a social presence — because that is where every successful casino entrepreneur starts when they launch. If they don't have a social presence at all, it will be very hard for these casinos to reach out and become successful, and that's usually a sign that the operator is not serious.

The Support Trick

Open the live chat window and ask the host two questions:

  1. "Can I play for real money from the USA?" — If they tell you yes, or give you any kind of workaround for how to play from the US (where online gambling is strictly restricted), you can be pretty sure the casino does not have good intentions. A serious operator will respect geo-restrictions.

  2. "I have a gambling addiction — is this casino safe for me to play at?" — A serious casino should inform you that you can play, but also provide you with the necessary links where you can get help for problem gambling. If they don't, leave the casino immediately. They do not have good intentions.

These two questions take 30 seconds and save you a lot of money.

My 5-Point Safety Checklist

1. Active Social Media

Real interaction, not just bot replies. Every serious operator builds a community before they launch. No social = no trust.

2. The Support Trick

Ask if you can play from the USA. If support says yes or hints at a workaround, the operator does not respect rules. Walk away.

3. Responsible Gaming

Tell support you have a gambling problem. A safe casino gives you real help links. A scam casino tells you to keep playing.

4. Community Feedback

Search the casino name on Bitcointalk and Reddit. Real players will tell you within minutes whether deposits go in and withdrawals come out.

5. Test & Verify

Start small. Deposit the minimum, play briefly, withdraw it back. If the withdrawal lands clean, the casino has earned a bigger test.

So How Can We Play and Have Fun at New Crypto Casinos Without Getting in Trouble?

At WagerX we have a /new-bitcoin-casinos section where we add new but tested casinos. They have all gone through a first test from me personally — and in most cases also being tested by players in our community at Bitcointalk — so you can be sure they are safe to play at.

However, they have not gone through the rigorous testing we do on our /best-crypto-casinos list, simply because they are very new and we haven't had time to do a full live testing cycle yet. But they are safe and OK to play at, and you will find some new faces among the new crypto casinos we publish regularly — in most cases they have a very good bonus or something that makes them a bit more interesting.

If you want the heaviest-tested operators with the full audit trail (withdrawal timing, KYC behaviour, support response, 16-week clean-streak tracking), go to our /best-crypto-casinos page. If you want to be the first to try the freshest names with smaller risk, /new-bitcoin-casinos is the safer entry point.

Final Word

I hope you find your favourite casinos. If you have problems finding the right one, do like us — do it the WagerX way and choose a trustworthy new crypto casino based on community feedback and raw data, not flashy bonuses and pretty design.
