The Gambling Commission supported South Yorkshire Police in coordinated operations (Operation Duxford and Operation Snaresbrook) on 4–5 August targeting illegal gambling and suspected organised criminal activity in Sheffield and Doncaster. Officers executed warrants at premises suspected of illegal gambling and money laundering, seizing sixteen illegal betting terminals, cash and gold, and arresting three people. The Commission said it will continue to work with police and partners to disrupt illegal gambling businesses.

GRAI Launches Public Consultation
The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) launched a public consultation open until 3pm on 20 August 2026 on three proposed regulations under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 concerning: Section 86 (prescribed games to be listed for gaming licences), Section 152 (records and accounts licensees must keep), and Section 173 (information remote gambling licensees must provide to account-holders, including alerts and access to gambling history). About WagerX Regulatory Intelligence
What this is
A free, structured public record of what gambling regulators actually do. Every published fine, license suspension, revocation, AML warning, player-protection order, and policy change is captured as a dated, source-linked record — searchable on the News Tracker, browsable by country, and downloadable as open data.
Regulator output is scattered across dozens of authority websites in different languages and formats. We turn it into one consistent dataset the industry can actually work with.
How we build it
Our system reads the official newsrooms of 36 gambling authorities every day. Each item is extracted into a structured record — issuing authority, target entity, action type, fine amount normalized to EUR — and linked back to the primary source on the regulator's own website.
Scope is strict: licensed gambling authorities only. No third-party media, no rumors, nothing fabricated — if we don't compute something yet, it sits on the public roadmap instead. Every record has a stable permalink for citation.
How to use it
Compliance & payments teams: filter the tracker by payment processors or game suppliers, export CSV for internal reporting, or pull the JSON API into your own tooling.
Affiliates & operators: the weekly brief flags market changes before they hit industry media.
