How the math works
Wagering requirements multiply your bonus (or deposit + bonus) by a fixed number. With a $100 bonus and a 35x requirement on bonus only, you must wager $100 × 35 = $3,500 before you can withdraw a single dollar.
Game contribution then adjusts how each spin counts. Slots usually contribute 100% — every $1 wagered cuts $1 from your remaining requirement. Blackjack at 10% means a $1 bet only counts as $0.10 toward clearing it. That's why slots dominate bonus play.
The calculator's "expected loss" estimate uses your slot's RTP. At 96% RTP on $3,500 of wagers, the house edge takes back roughly $3,500 × (100% − 96%) = $140 on average — meaning a "free" $100 bonus often costs you $40 in expected value. This is why low-wagering bonuses (1-10x) almost always beat huge ones (50-70x).
