Massachusetts Gaming Commission announces new initiative to curb athlete harassment
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission announced the 'Bet on Respect' initiative to use Massachusetts law and Commission regulation (205 CMR 152) to exclude patrons who harass athletes from accessing sports wagering and casinos. The Commission established a portal for reporting suspected athlete harassment, will investigate allegations, and may impose involuntary exclusion while providing excluded individuals information about support programs.
Nieuwe inzichten in gokgedrag minderjarigen en jongvolwassenen
De Kansspelautoriteit publiceert resultaten van drie onderzoeken naar gokgedrag van minderjarigen en jongvolwassenen (18-24 jaar), waaronder gedrag in de eerste drie maanden na inschrijving bij een legale online aanbieder, gokgedrag onder MBO-studenten en hoe minderjarigen in aanraking komen met gokken. De onderzoeken tonen normalisatie van gokken, veel vroegtijdige blootstelling via fysieke legale producten of gedeelde accounts, en dat 41% van nieuwe accounts in 18-24 jarigen door 18-jarigen wordt aangemaakt. De Ksa werkt samen met het ministerie aan aanvullende beschermende maatregelen.
Spillemyndigheden opfordrer til at sende spillet på sommerferie med ny ROFUS-kampagne
The Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) launched the "Send dit spil på sommerferie" ROFUS campaign on 13 July 2026 to encourage people to take a break from gambling using ROFUS self-exclusion. The campaign runs from 13 July to 2 August on Facebook, Instagram and digital screens in Copenhagen Airport and uses imagery targeting younger audiences.
GRAI launches campaign helping parents to spot the signs of underage gambling
The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), in partnership with HSE Addiction Services, launched a national public awareness campaign and published guidance to help parents recognise signs of underage gambling, how to talk to children about gambling, and where to seek help. The campaign runs across video on demand, radio, digital audio and social media and highlights research by the ESRI that children who gamble are twice as likely as adults to develop a gambling problem. The notice also references the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 and forthcoming commencement of its child protection provisions.
